MString.co.za has been online since January 2009. The website was developed in response to the identification of the need for a convenient way for South African musicians to market themselves. After launching the website and receiving positive feedback from local musicians and members of the public, the possibilty of publicizing upcoming events was incorporated. MString.co.za began to encourage musicians to advertise upcoming events by featuring their listings on the homepage. The mailing list was also introduced as a means to keep members informed of upcoming events in their area.

MString.co.za strives to give exposure to all South African musicians on a single, unified platform. Our goal is to facilitate the employment of local musicians by corporations, businesses and the general public. We are committed to keeping MString.co.za commission free, to encourage optimal utility of the musicians database and encourage contribution towards a healthy live music industry.

Our vision is to steadily increase employment opportunities for musicians and accordingly provide an ever-growing resource for the convenience of the members of the South African public.
